 From Donna Webster:
Anyone else from the club make it to the Pacific Open at Indian Wells?
This past week David, myself, Scott & Susan Devens and Bert Haze attended
the qualifying rounds at the tournament. We've sat front and center at
some big tournaments but going to the early qualifiers is really a great time
and I recommend it highly.
It's a chance to see the players up close.
We weren't on the grounds 10 minutes when we saw Andy Murray approaching
us and I had to say "Hi" (and he was very nice and greeted me in return!).
We had a chance to see all the top players warming up and rallying - it was a
lot of fun and you really appreciate how great they are when you see it in person.
We spent a night at our favorite place - Shadow Mountain - a great couple of days.

Hello!
I'm sorry it took me so long to tell you how much I enjoyed plying in the Valentine's Day Round Robin:
the weather was gorgeous, the players were fun to play with, the luncheon was delicious, and
the decorated tables and chairs so festive!
Thank you so very much for so much fun to Dimas, Scott & Susan, Dave & Donna and Nick
(you "guys" didn't even get to play!) Even our guests from Cypress and Friends were impressed.
Love-you all for putting forth a lovely affair!
Jane
PS: Thank you also for the beautiful tulips and the box with candy.

From Aline Oswalt:
The Valentine Round Robin was a fun day of tennis. Great Job Everyone!!
I sometimes sub for Whittier Tennis Club, they are all nice people, but
LMTC is still the best!! Everyone is like family and very special to me.
It was nice of you to provide the beautiful and delicious cake in honor
of mine and others 80th or over birthdays!
Thanks for a very enjoyable day.
Sincerely,  Aline

Dear Nick and Barbara, thanks for all your effort into this web page it is good enough at the moment, well informative good pictures of events and so on, I know for Nick it must be his greatest project at this moment, I had seen him all excited since last year when he started his computer classes, I know why he had missed a lot last year, that's because he got himself so much into the classes, now it show the results of it, great job Nick, Barbara for you my guess is that you are a good editor, and congratulations for your award at the Dinner-Dance October Event. Araceli Garcia-Cruz

I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO DIMAS, FOR
SACRIFICING HIS SATURDAY TO BARBECUE FOR ALL
THE CLUB MEMBERS. I KNOW IT MUST OF NOT BEEN EASY
FOR HIM TO BE THE CHEF AS ALL US PLAYED TENNIS. FURTHERMORE,
THANKS TO THE STAFF FOR MAKING IT ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL
TURKEY SHOOT EVENT. ONCE AGAIN THANKS DIMAS, AND
AS WE SAY IN SPANISH LA COMIDA ESTABA PARA CHUBARSE
LOS DEDOS. THE FOOD WAS FINGER LICKING GOOD.
GERARDO
Just a short note to thank the organizers of the La Mirada Tennis Club's October Social Event, held at the Westridge Golf Club. We had a wonderful time and it was lovely to be able to catch up with people on a 'social' basis.
Wes did a grand job at MC-ing, the magician was very entertaining, the food was excellent, Nick's slide show was very enjoyable, Wes' daughter's a-cappella was outstanding and Steve and Terry's dancing display was most impressive (who knew they could move as well on the dance floor as they do on the court!)
Hopefully next year even more members will attend and enjoy all the hard work that was put in to make it such an entertaining evening.
Thank you once again,
Tess Mayhew and Miguel Vallarta

Heya,
The website is fantastic! You've done a brilliant job! It's easy to read and navigate and it's wonderful that you've got a "human interest" section too.
My only suggestion is that for the "comments" section you have an email contact to whom we should address these to (e.g. if you'd like to submit a comment, contact . . .).
Otherwise, the calendar is great idea to remind us forgetful ones when events are!
Keep up the excellent job.
Tess

Thanks for your positive comments, and we like your suggestion!

Nick,
I love what you've done with the LMTC website. It's nice to see the photos and keep us updated online. I saw the "comments" section and its nice to see LMTC members send their praises about the site and other people. However, I have a few suggestions :) Wouldn't it be better if we have a guestbook that people can sign instead of emailing you and then posting it? There's a site called "BraveNet" and they offer lots of free website tools such as, GuesBooks, Counters, Forums, etc... You can visit them at http://www.bravenet.com
That's just my suggestion. Its free but there might be a catch like advertisement on GuestBook page or link going to their site. I'm not sure if you like that though. You can also check your webpage package if it includes those tools that you can use.
See you in the weekends!
- Brian

Thanks Brian, we appreciate the compliments, but more important, we look forward to suggestions which you have included. Want everybody to know that Barbara and I are new at this and we appreciate any suggestions and ideas. As you suggested, she will visit bravenet.com and she will also check our webpage package to see if it includes these types of tools.
